Gatorz Vizion sponsored skateboarder Shonn Oquendo has been on a whirlwind of success. After 6 months of being sponsored by Assault Skates, Shonn recently released his own signature skate deck and turned pro.

To think, all of this happened after Shonn got discovered at a local skate shop, showing off his skate video.

“I just made this footage tape and showed it to the owner of the skate shop and then the owner of Assault came in…They gave me this huge opportunity and I’ve been so stoked,” says Shonn.

Hey, we’d be stoked too if we got to design our own skate deck and turn pro in 6 months! Huge congrats to our boy Shonn on his success, we can only see a bright future from here.
