Introducing Tactis, a new semi-rimless design that combines a streamlined profile, interchangeable TruRay lenses, and a secure, comfortable fit built for changing conditions. It’s a new look for GATORZ, backed by the materials, construction, and protection expected from American-crafted performance eyewear.
An Entirely New Design
The first thing you’ll notice about Tactis is the frame itself.
As the first semi-rimless design in the GATORZ lineup, Tactis creates a distinctly different profile while maintaining the coverage and durability expected from GATORZ. The frame is CNC-machined from durable aluminum and built around an 8-base lens design for performance-driven coverage.
Lightweight Ghost Temples reduce bulk, while new grip-enhancing rubber sleeves help keep the frame securely in place through movement and active use. Up front, the PrecisionGrip adjustable nosepiece allows the fit to be dialed in for added comfort and stability.
The result is a frame that looks different, feels different, and brings something entirely new to the GATORZ lineup.

Tactis features an interchangeable lens system that allows each individual lens to be removed and replaced, giving you the ability to switch between different TruRay lens options based on your environment, activity, and available light.
From everyday lenses to specialty, MILSPEC, and Optimized Polarized (OPZ) options, the Tactis lens lineup gives you more ways to configure one frame for the conditions ahead.
At the center of the system is LockSight, a secure locking mechanism designed to keep the lens firmly connected to the frame. A captive screw design keeps the hardware retained within the mechanism during lens changes, so you don't have to worry about losing the screw when swapping lenses.
Whether the light changes, the environment changes, or the job changes, Tactis gives you the flexibility to choose the lens that fits the moment.
Protection Without the Bulk
The streamlined design doesn't come at the expense of protection.
All Tactis configurations are ANSI Z87.1+ safety rated and MILSPEC ballistic impact rated, with select configurations also available with OPZ technology. MILSPEC and MILSPEC OPZ lens options feature an anti-fog coating to help maintain visibility in demanding conditions.
The frame itself carries forward the construction GATORZ is known for, including four robust 5-barrel hinges and 16 functional rivets.
